Having lived near the shores of Naples, Florida, Joy's botanical inspiration for her sculptures, bowls, plates, platters and vases is derived from the ever-changing colours and movement of waves, patterns in the sand and the wildlife that magically appears on the OCEAN floor and shoreline.
By indulging in free flowing forms, integrating various colours and textures of clay bodies, stains, glazes and sculptural techniques, her ceramic art captures the
ephemeral beauty of Mother Nature. Coastal charm in every creation.

Joy throws functional pottery : bowls, plates and serving dishes of all sizes and colours.
Her beautiful hand built pieces, while functional, are intended to be displayed and appreciated for their art form when not in use.
